ECTA's primary role is the development, promotion & management of triathlon and duathlon in the Eastern Cape Province, operated under the rules and regulations of ITU and TSA.

| Following on from a very successful 2009 Duathlon Series, Momentum Health and I-Flex return with a 6 event 2010 National Duathlon Series in Gauteng, North West, KwaZulu Natal, Western Cape and POLLOCK BEACH, PORT ELIZABETH ON SUNDAY 1st AUGUST 2010: the events alternate with road and off-road challenges - testing South Africa's Duathletes!
The Momentum Health I-Flex National Duathlon Series has now reached the halfway mark and already a number of new names and first time winners have emerged, leaving the overall victory in the men's and woman's divisions completely open. Momentum Health and I-Flex have made this series one of the richest in South Africa, with prize money in excess of R295 000! EVERYONE can participate and compete with the elite, kiddies and team events. AWESOME spot prizes by New Balance, Go Multi Magazine and Rudy Project Eye Wear......so everyone can be a winner on the day! The 'goody bag package' valued at R300 includes a New Balance moisture management t-shirt, Vit-T-Go energy supplements and a Go Multi Sports Magazine.
